How to create Ad unit in Google Ad Manager?

Before going to creation of Ad unit. Make sure to understand what is mean by ad unit.

What is ad unit?

It is the ad space or inventory of your website or APP. This is very important to serve any ads via Google Ad Manager. You may have next question?

How it works?

Ad unit have the option to include size to which you would like to serve on the page. A JavaScript tag can be generated once the ad unit is saved. This tag is the link to your website and Ad Server.

Steps to create to ad units:

1.)Login Ad Manager account.

2.)Navigate “Inventory” –> ” Ad unit” (Left Pane)

3.) Click “Create New Ad unit”

4.) Enter Name, Ad unit Code , Description (Optional) and Size.

5.) Target Window “_blank” to open your click through in new tab. “_top” for open on the same tab”

6.) Rewards applicable for APP. Ignore this for web,

7.) Placements for adding Group of Ad units for easy trafficking. Or Grouping similar ad units together.

8.) Frequency cap – For applying via labels.

9.) Refresh Rate – Applicable only for APP. Ignore it for Web

10.) If you want to serve “Adsense” as back fill. Please tick this option “Maximise revenue of unsold inventory with AdSense”.

11.) Save Ad unit.
